How do you teach somebody else to whistle?

I know how to but I don't know what I'm doing and don't remember how I was taught. I suppose whistling is recreation.

Well...either you can or you can't. It's something that comes naturally. Purse your lips and blow.

Apparently, it's very unattractive in a lady. I do it all the time, partly because I like it and it makes me cheerful, and partly because I'm not supposed to and people look at me strange.....

I teach my nieces and nephews how to “help me help them” letting them stay up later by doing everything they need to do to get ready for bed early, either read way more books than were suppose to or watch a movie (sometimes rated a little higher than my sis and bro-in–law would allow) then we scheme about how to not let their parents find out that they were up late. Even though I usually tell them. But I’m their aunt and I’m suppose to spoil them rotten, and teach them all the things they should know but their parents don’t want them to know, which basically at this point is how to lie and get away with it. Whistling is an acquired trait....I was never able to do it as a kid, but one day I suddenly figured it out and "got it".

just tell the person to curl their tongue and blow...that should do the trick

i guess you should tell them to lick their lips, tell them to put their mouth like this (show them how) and blow lightly, not hard. and tell them not to puff their cheeks ;-)
