You know everyone is going to say..."Happy Birthday"...

Ask yourself why you want to write a long letter for her birthday card.

If there is a heartfelt need to tell her something, it is best just to say it, simply and clearly. It doesn't have to be long.

For example:. "Wow, here you are 14 now! We've been friends for (6 years, which have been great cuz we have had some great times and I have lots of memories that are hilarious.......or 6 months, which has been the most fun that I have had in forever. I'm really glad that we became friends. Ha ha I'm still a month older than you are and I guess I always will be....Let's make a pact to check that at noon on April 1, 2010. Put it on your calendar right now!

Have the best birthday ever....until the next one!

if you've known her long enough.. you can write about past memories or any of your inside jokes that you guys shared. and you can also write what you think will happen in the next few years and when you guys graduate and things like that.. (= and she'll just love the fact that she can take it out years later and reminise about everything.

Write about what her friendship has meant to you. Reminisce about various things you have done together. Tell her what a good friend she is.
