Player is not recognized by computer

Thank you for purchasing the MP3 player. Did you install the CD that came with the player? It is not needed for Windows XP, only Win 98.

If you did please use this link www.youtopialife.com/pages/windowspatch.php and follow the instructions on the site. After this, your player should be listed as a “Removable Disk” in “My Computer.”

If not, use this link and follow the instructions: http://www.youtopialife.com/pages/sysrestore.php
After this, your player should be listed as a “Removable Disk” in “My Computer.”

The previous answers are good but you probably HAVE the cd that came with it and already installed the drivers.
MP3 players use a USB interface. There may be an icon in the tray by the clock on you desktop that looks like a card sliding into the computer. Click on this and see if the MP3 shows up in the list of devices. If it doesn't show, try putting the cd, if you have it, in again and re-install the software.
Or, try plugging it into a computer running Windows XP and see if it works.
