Because people can't stand not saying something mean. It's in our nature to be competitive, therefore, when someone is beating us, we have to cut them down so they will fall back. That's just my opinion though.

Sometimes it depends on "where" you are flaunting it at. For example, at my job, I have to dress very conservatively. If I go out to a club, then of course, I am going to flaunt it! What do I care what other people think if I am happy with myself and who I am.

Because people don't mean what they say. People are jealous and critical...if you do have it, keep it to yourself. There is no need to flaunt it.

Mostly because of jealousy, and they probably think you think you're all that. When you flaunt it, don't flaunt it too much. Try to be humble about it, but don't be too self consious.

Jealousy

simple, because the people who say it and the people who criticize you have different perspective to the same matter.

also this is because we humans have misconceptions and preconceptions. we THINK that "got it" means A but for another individual it may be B so there will always be differing views as to what is IT.

not everyone that flauts it, has it is number one. Second, there are always jealous people that will talk no matter what. you have to learn how to flaunt it with style.

Don't worry about anyone else, they are jealous. Wear what is comfortable to you, and what looks good on you. People talk no matter what anybody wears or looks like.

because people suck! but most of all i think it is based on jealousy... even if the jealousy is undefined... it could be your best friend, but there may be something about you that they admire/want for themselves... so in turn people talk about it to make themselves feel better.

not sure if i explained myself, but i totally get where you are coming from.
