Everybody hates awkward silences, that's why they're called awkward!! I usually end up saying something daft, but if i'm going on a date i always think of some questions i could ask for if there is a silence, daft things like if you could be a superhero what power would you have, that way you get a discussion about something fun

~well, 1st, I think gosh, what a bore this guy is... he can't even carry on a half-way decent conversation!?! Then, I come up w/ a question about somthing that I know he's interested in so he can just answer the question/keep talking - and I can pretend to listen while I'm really thinking about more important things... because honestly, I just figure, if he can't even think for himself - as in: come up w/ an interesting conversation... then he isn't worth my time anyway.

Okay, try excusing yourself to a different place when you feel one coming on. Or a big giant smile. That always gets people wondering and it's a decent ice breaker.

Oh my gosh yes!!!! and i can't stand it when its complete like silence so i burst out laughing. But its just like omg what just happened. Its funny but like weird. hah.<3

Yes...but i usually just look around or cough or sneeze or smile. Some times i burst out laughing uncontrolably.

I like em, that way, you dont have get a headache, due to everybody tring to scream at 1 another to be heard.
