Mine was at the very end when Warren was going back home and was questioning on if he mattered in the world. And then when opening his mail he got the letter from his sponsered child....after reading the letter, he looked at the picture that the child drew. The expression on Jack Nicholsons face is pure movie magic.....

I loathed and despised that movie. Nicholoson's performance was nothing out of the ordinary...same old stuff he's been re-cycling for years now. I blame (director) Alexander Payne. This guy's idea of "satire" is to make fun of people. Well, you can't have it both ways. Either the family that Nicholson's daughter was marrying into were LOSERS, in which case he was RIGHT ALL ALONG and didn't NEED to change...or, they were a goofy, off-beat but loving family, in which case his daughter was right to blow him off, and the cheap emotion of his pen-pal relationship didn't get him off the hook.
