My triops is 7 days old, on the 6th day it says I shoukd have started him on uncrushed pellets but he still cant seem to eat those. Why? And does anyone know why there is only one? I started with about 5 then one was doing fine but looked injured so he ate it. Now there's one but it says they can reproduce alone so why isn't he?

I had some recently and they usually don't eat until they are about 10-15 days old. The food is too big or hard for some triops. He hasn't reproduced yet because he needs to be at least 21 days old. Hope this helps.

My triops would only eat crushed food -- period, but they ate like they were starving all the time. I have never had them reproduce at all . seems like at about 30 days old they die and you need to start over. One container should produce between 5 and 10 triops. I hatch mine in a 10 gallon aquarium and they grow like crazy. They start as a tiny white dot and at 30 days old they are about 2 inches long counting their tail. they have their own web site.
