Societal opinions and pressure.

You are aware that most people frown on this type of thing...so you are ashamed.

Although that person enjoys it, they are ashamed of what other people in society will think and if they will judge him.

And, in my opinion, the answer to that question would be that being ashamed of it makes little difference. I have mixed opinions about the matter, as I am quite indecisive. However many people will look down on him and judge him, and feeling ashamed, to me, is simply a natural reaction, and any part-decent person woukld feel a bit ashamed, deep down.

If you are feeling shame for something that you like to do, the shame is an after-affect. This is conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit. God is trying to tell you that what you are doing is offensive to him and that you need to stop it. If you stop it, then the shame will go away because the source of the shame has been cut off. If you return to the act, then the shame will return. Sociopaths and psychopaths have no shame in their sin, so if you feel no shame in your sin then you are suffering from mental and spiritual illness and need help.

You can be ashamed of something you like. You could like eating lots of ice cream, but be ashamed of it because you know that eating so much ice cream is bad for you.

That is a hypocrisy, how can you be ashamed of something you like, your only ashamed of it, if you got people telling you it isn't worthy.
