Is it right for me to ask a guy if he is sexualy active before I give permission to go out with my daughter?

There's nothing wrong with asking that...in private. He probably won't admit to you if he is. It's really more up to your daughter and her own sense of values. You should reinforce that first. As far as the guy, just assume the worst and give him a straight forward eye to eye warning of what you expect his behavior to be with your daughter. It wouldn't hurt if he glanced over and saw your gun collection. Be tactful but firm. He needs to think in the back of his mind that you will track him down and make him a gelding if he does not behave properly.

The answer is....every male with the onset of puberty is sexually active.

You should ask yourself why you want to question him in this intrusive way. Perhaps you actually do not have confidence enough in your daughter and the way that she has been raised.
It only matters if she is sexually active (and how old) and that she is educated to protect herself against STDs and pregnancy.

Tell him, out of earshot of your daughter, "I want you to treat her well and like a gentleman, understand?" Look really serious and a little "scary". The message will get across.

Hey im 16 and if i was your daughter i would hate you if you asked my bf that your best bet would to be ask your wife to talk to your daughter about having sex or if you dont have a wife maybe your sister or if you have a close relation ship with your daughter you just talk to her and tell her what you think about her having sex best thing is to tell her about how you feel about her having sex she may rebel but she will also respect watt u say she just wont show it but she will !1 its better for you to say are you sexual active or not because you would rather her do it and you know rather then her do it and you not knowing its the safe way i recon !!

I think you have the right to ask,but I don't know that you will get an honest answer.That will depend on his age and ofcourse what kind of moral's and values he has.His age will play a big part in what answer you get from him.When you ask him be honest and straight-forward but don't make it sound like you are interigating him.

You can also have the "guy" investigated, and it's completely legal to do so, without his (and your daughter's) knowledge.

You can also ask him to bring his parents to visit you so you can meet them.
