I believe a "man" (mankind) is only as good as his / her word. I would never reveal anything a friend or someone close to me asked me to promise to keep secret. But I also NEVER promise anything unless I know for sure I can keep it, It would take an act of God to make me break a promise made.

that I had an affair on my last boyfriend (once), we're friends now, . . . and so, I don't want to drudge-up old dirt. But I did, and I do-still, sometimes feel the guilt. . . however, he is happy in a new relationship now.
On those secrecy-issues, well, you guys can all know this, but you don't know me, and so, . . . there you have-it, still my secret. . . : )
