Calvin or Kelvin means " the bald one", unfortunately you have selected such a name so he will always be bald

I'm a natural blonde and I was totally bald except for a fine down until I turned 1. Even then, my hair was slow growing. People continually mistook me for a little boy until I was 3. I didn't need my first hair cut until age 4.

It's hard to tell when his hair will start thickening up. Your best bet is to ask either your mother (if he takes after you) or Calvin's father's mother (if your son takes after his father). One of the grandmothers should be able to relate and give you a better time frame. If grandmothers are unavailable, check baby pictures of you and the child's father.

As for his "real" hair coloring. I was a blonde that stayed blonde. However, I know quite a few people who were born blonde and by age 4-5 had turned to brunettes.

Don't worry, my little sister was 4 before she had any hair. She's now just turned 18 and has really thick curly hair so it never affected her long term. We used to call her painted bonce (bonce is slang for head) as she looked like one of those dolls with the hair pained on the head. She was about four and a half before she had enough hair to put in a pony tail.
My first son had loads of hair when he was born but my second son had none. Be thankful because their hair grows so unbelievably fast it needs cut ALL the time and entertaining a baby at the hairdressers is soo not fun!

My daughter is 3 months old and she has just a downy type of hair all over her head. It is totally normal. My cousin didn't start growing hair until she was almost 1 year old.

My daughter is 12 months old and she often gets mistaken for a boy because she has so little hair. She has more hair than she used to but still not very much hair.

My mom said I was the same way - barely any hair until about 2 years old.

In the meantime, I put her in lots of pink and act very irritated when people say "he"!

My husband and I both have a headful of very thick hair so we were both surprised when our son was nearly bald until he was about two years old! By the time he was three his hair had grown in thick and beautiful.

He's thirteen now and still has great hair. I wouldn't worry about it. Babies grow hair and at different rates. He'll have a headful in no time.

don't worry!! my two children were born with a full head of black hair but my friends son didn't have hardly any till he was about 7 months old, it just depends on the baby weather it has light hair or dark hair you notice it more if its dark! but saying that both of my children's hair fell off coz it baby hair and it breaks of for the proper hair to start coming through. so don't worry he will get hair!!!!!

First you need to calm down. All babies are different. My brother didn't get his hair until he was a year and a half old. His hair will come in time.

My ladyfriend's son had downy type hair until he was 3 years old. Perfectly normal. His hair, when it came in and really started growing, came in blonde.
