this is what it says at google..i need help to where to a folder on my psp called VIDEO...i downloaded the video i want but i sont know what file to make or put it in...anyways this is what it says on google video...please help..THX

Search on Google Video and select the video you'd like to download.
Select "Video iPod/Sony PSP" from the drop-down menu to the right of the video and click the "Download" button. If these options don't appear, the video in question isn't available for download.
Save the video to a location on your computer.
Create a new folder on your memory stick named "VIDEO" (without quotations). Copy/move the file to the "VIDEO" folder on your PSP memory stick.

I'm guessing that since, from your description, it says "video ipod/sony psp" that you're using a H.264 or MPEG-4 video file. on the PSP, .mp4 video files DO NOT go into the Video folder. i don't exactly remember where they go exactly, but there are programs out there that will help you. http://forums.qj.net/f-guides-mods-and-media-44.html/ <-poking around here should yield you some answers.

First of all you need to have a memory card reader of have your psp connected via usb etc. Then it should be as simple as locating the memory card in "My Computer" (removable disk etc) /or the Media Suite for the PSP. Once you locate the memory card - open it up, when open-right click on your mouse, watch the drop-down menu appear, scroll down to "New" - click on it, and scroll over to "folder" - click it, then rename the folder "VIDEO" by right clicking on it and selecting rename. Then copy/paste the video file into the folder just made.

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Create a folder in the root directory of your psp i.e. K:\ (NOT in fodler PSP) called MP_ROOT
Create a folder in MP_ROOT called 100MNV01
In 100MNV01 put your MP4 video files.
Rename your mp4 videos in the following way so they can be read by the psp:
include prefix M4Vxxxxx
where xxxxx = a 5-digit number.
e.g. M4V20001

If you need a converter for video files (anything to mp4), the best one I use is xilisoft psp video converter and xilisoft dvd to psp, which you can both download from http://xilisoft.com. It's a limited trail version but there are many keygens available ;)

Hope that helped!

go to this site and download the software, if you want the full version , you will have to pay for it, but it is waorth every single penny, my friend recommended it to me and it is fool proof and so simple to use , you will never have to worry about converting files again, it does it all for you automatically..the problem you are having is that the psp's memory stick is telling you that the movie is on the stick but you can't watch it because it's the wrong format, or else you can't find the mp root movie folder where the movie files are kept...anyway, try this software package, the trial allows you to transfer 5 or 10 mins of anything and as many times as you want until you get it right or get what you want, you can change the file to whatever size to increase or decrease the movie/sound quality...good luck, hopefully you find it as useful as I have

mp4 videos go into the "\MP_ROOT\100MNV01\" folder, OR just go on the internet with your PSP and do the same thing, when you click download it should say something about your memory stick and click start, it should save.

im not 100% sure, but thats how it is on PS3
