Hi I'm 20 years old and my period is very regular and always comes right on time. Well me and my boyfriend had unprocted sex last month right before my period, but than my period came a day after we had sex and it only lasted for 3 days. It wasn't heavy but it wasn't light either it was just normal i guess but it was only 3 days. My boyfriend and i both thought this was strange. Anyway this month i'm about 4 days late which isnt normal for me and i'm experiencing cramping like if i'm going to get my period but it wont come.

I have pms like symptoms, alot of cramping, and my stomach is alittle bloated, but my period wont come. Usually when i get cramps my period comes the next day, this time its just not here. I think i might be pregnant, but i dont feel pregnant. I'm so confused. I'm not ready for a baby right now and i'm alittle scared. Could i be pregnant? Has anybody out there had cramps but no period and than found out that they were pregnant? Help please. I'm very confused.

Period cramps and no period were the only symptoms I had for the first 7 weeks of pregnancy.

However, seeing as how you had a strange period last month, and now another strange one, it seems more likely that your body is changing cycles.

Since you normally are like clock work, why not calm yourself down and do the rational thing and get a pregnancy test. You're more than late enough to get a good result.

3 days is OK - Mine are usually only 4. But you need to calm down, worry makes your period late. The more you worry the longer it will take. Did you have unprotected sex after your period, or only that one time? If it was only that one time then you are probably fine. Sometimes I will cramp a few days before I start, but you have to not worry about it. If you go a couple of weeks, then worry. Good luck and breathe.

You're just paranoid. You probably aren't pregnant, but go to the drug store and get a test. This way, you'll know you're just worrying over nothing when it comes out negative.

If you're cramping a lot, then try taking a walk. This usually helps mine go quickly.

And my period always only lasts 3 days since I started working out more. Life changes and emotional drama can affect the length of your period and when it starts.

And I wasn't being mean when I said you were paranoid. I think every woman goes through this in their head when they are a bit late even if they had protected sex. Condoms do fail. So I think we have all felt this way at some time.

well i have had that problem before and so has my mom. i have experienced a lot of cramps and bloatedness ever since i found out i was pregnant. you should go get tested . and have you ever had a child before? well if not then how do you know what it is like to be pregnant??? try to get tested if you arent or if it says negative, you are probably just going through a stage of climax. everyone goes throu8gh it atleast once or twice at every stage of life. don't be suspecting a baby because the best thing is to wait and don't tell your bf you are getting tested. but if you are tested and it says you are pregnant then tell him. but don't bring him with you. it would be even more stressful. im happy for you and hope you do goood.

I had the same experience once. I was'nt pregnant. A lot of times if you keep stressing it will delay your period. If you really want peace of mind go and buy a First Response pregnancy test.

You can skip and be late on periods for all sorts of reasons, symptoms aren't the sure-fire way to know, a home pregnancy test is.

I don't think you should be worrying right now. I think it is normal to have irregular periods all of a sudden.

Check with a doctor if you want.
