I would be concerned about the Exploding Batteries. Look at the Toshiba notebooks at your local Staples or Costco store.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

i would never buy a Sony laptop. 1 big thing Sony dose they do not have any drivers for there computers on there website. so if you lose the restore DVD or want to upgrade to a new OS on the computer the computer will not run right because there are no drivers installed or little programs called patches.

buying a laptop you should do some research on laptops.

thing to think about before you buy a laptop.

1 how much do you want to spend on the laptop.
2 what do you want to do with the laptop.
3 are there any problems with laptop model
4 are there any recalls or law suites on the laptop computer makers

if you want to play games most low end laptops will not do games very good.
do your research on the laptop if there are problems with the laptop and you get that problem you have to send in the laptop and it dose take some times 4 to 6 weeks to get it back.

if i was buying a laptop today i would buy a acer laptop.
1 acer has never been on a recall list
2 if you read reviews a lot of people like them
3 on the low end of a acer laptop they can play games.
4 the price is very good.

I don't do any business with Sony any more since the added rootkit spyware to some of their music CDs a couple of years ago. Screw them!
