Check out my blog on some tips to earning money on the Internet, as well as a list of websites I actively use to earn the money. They are 100% free (and I 100% guarantee it!) and scam-free. I have been paid by everyone. From a few of the websites, I earned a little over $200 for the month of December, but your earnings could be much greater.

http://www.swatcash.com/2147 < Using that website alone I have made over $100 in under a week. It's a really great website. You can earn cash as well as Paypal bonuses, Visa Gift Card's and they even have referral contests for cash, as well as giveaways for Nintendo Wii, Ipod Nano and PS3.

Usually they will hold the sign until dark and then go home,i believe they are just scamming people, i have given money to people like that before and all they did was go to the store and bought alcohol. I have even seen a woman nicely dressed with her 2 kids out holding a sign, when MC Donald's had a were hiring sign up, people think other people owe them so they take advantage of the situation, so go figure. I no longer help people that way, i give to the reputable charities, and donate clothing.

Some are real... others are not...

... it is up to you to decide... I used to face the same problem... "give them or not?" ....

... so what I did was that I gave someone and looked at their expression and how they reacted to the money...

... With time you learn to tell before you decide to give money or not... follow your heart and remember it is better to give someone that does not need... rather than risk denying someone who is really in need....

... also look for sheltors places where they help people and your donation is forwarded to a real needy person, I'm sure you will find plenty.

I, too, see these people all of the time and believe they are just conning us all. There are many shelters and social service agencies that can provide assistance to these folks. They are exercising their right not to seek out this assistance, but rather work on pulling the heart strings of the general public.

Well, they aren't exactly organized, so you can't lump them all together. Some are very legitimate people down on their luck looking for a little help.

Others are drug addicts or alcoholics looking to get enough cash to buy their high.

I'm sure others are just rip off artists...although I've never seen that personally.
