I'm not a Steelers fan. I think any team who wins the Super Bowl has a certain amount of luck working to propel them forward. You have to get a few breaks along the way. Cowher is well respected among his peers and without last years SB win still has a pretty good W-L record. The Steelers have been a contender for a long time and Cowher has to be considered a big reason for this. Last year they were an improbable winner for sure. The Colts helped them a lot in their game with their missed field goal. Their game against the Bengals could well have turned out differently if Palmer did not go down to injury in the first quarter of their game. No, I don't think the Steelers are overrated at all. They are just a very tough football team that nobody wants to play when they really need to win the game (see Bengals in the last game of the year). They could have easily given up this year when they were 4-7 but instead went 4-1 in the last 5 games to finish at 8-8. I admire them for doing that. Big Ben will be healthy to start the year next year and I figure they will improve off this excellent finish to this year. I don't think they will go away. They will probably give the Ravens a run for their money next year in the tough AFC North.

They were not over rated they beat the crap out of everybody. You have to remember the Steelers loose a lot of very good players each year and they still kick butts. They were left for dead this year but look what happened they only missed the play off by 1 or 2 games. Bill Cower is one of the best coaches to play for. He is not nasty like Parcels who is overrated.

nawwww..they were a great team. And they had a great coach. The reason why they crapped out on us this year was because they lost alot of key players...(Jerome Bettis, Plaxico Burress, Antwann Randel El..ect.)
And Ben Roethlisberger has his motorcycle accident and an appendectomy which he wasn't completely healed from and they had him play in a game like two weeks later..which was wrong. I really do think that they are a great team. They just had some bad luck this year. If they can get their crap together and have a good coach again they will once again be a great team. They have lots of potential.

I know you may not like them, but anyone who knows football knows they are very good. This year the QB was off most of the year. They started off 2-6 and still they just missed the playoffs by a game. They are very good.
