My friend agreed to meet up with me on Saturday and help proofread my essay. But when I went all the way to his office he said he directly went home because he wanted to sleep and he thought we were gonna meet on Sunday. I was so mad but I controlled my anger and asked if he can just email it back to me after he proofread it, and he said ok. But he never send it back.

Should I just ignore him cuz I feel he is doesn't deserve to be my friend.

Before I went to his office I texted him asking if we are gonna meet today, and he didn't reply. I called him when I got there and obviously his cellphone is on and he got my msg! He just chose to ignore me.

If he's really your friend he should have taken the time to proofread your essay for you, sleep or no. Although sometimes people get sidetracked or distracted with their work and things honestly get mistaken or misunderstood. If it were me, I would give him the benefit of the doubt, do the proofreading yourself and go on. It sounds like he may just not be that reliable. Just maybe look elsewhere in the future for help with papers. Take care.

For whatever reason, your friend is being selfish and irresponsible.

You were right to control your anger, especially because there may be things going on in his life that have him preoccupied and he didn't intentionally mean to forget about you.

In the meantime, be friendly and don't cut him off completely (you can never have too many friends) but don't expect much from him either. Eventually, he may come around.

How long have you been friends? How well do you know him? This behavior may not be unusual for him. To ignore you, and not return your paper is not good and it is quite disrespectful. I would not ask him any questions about what happened and I would not call him again. He knows what he did was wrong and he will be expecting to hear about it. Instead, be pleasant whenever you talk to him again, and know that you learned a valuable lesson about him.

He doesn't want to do as you've asked and he's too embarrassed to say so, and so he thinks that by ignoring it, it will go away, so you'll have to do just that, unless you want to make scene, in which case he'll just make up more excuses, so you'll be kept hanging on again.
Best advice, take the hint and ask someone else to help you out.
Oh, and by the way, he's NOT your friend! 4get him!
