Call the maternity ward where you delivered and ask them to see their lactation specialist. You're able to go back into the hospital anytime when you're breast feeding to try and get it right.

If that doesnt work, call your local le leche leader. You can get their numbers from their website, just google it.

Its hard to get a baby from bottle to breast, and some just refuse, but in other cases you can, with some luck, get them into the breast. Its an entirely different kind of sucking on the breast than on the bottle, and some babies simply cant learn a new way.

be patient keep trying and consult a lactation expert either at the hospital or le leche. babies like the bottle because they don't have to work and hard and it is faster.

Good luck. I nursed both of my children. It is so much easier (in my opinion) than dealing with bottles that is if they take to it.

Just let the baby feed directly from the breast. Infants have an inborn ability to suckle. She will start suckling automatically --- pls do not use anything external on your breasts, let her get the 'natural' feel.

Contact a lactation consultant.... the Le Leche League... Your NICU should be able to direct you to a local person for help too.

at such a young age you should allow her to feed the way she wants to!
