I contacted the seller and he told me to get it fixed at my expence. The problem is not the rip but that the skins were so rotten the coat will fall apart. The seller tells me I am responsable for having it fixed, but as soon as I get it fixed another hole will be found elsewere. It is not the hole but the fur itselp.I purchased a brand NEW coat and now I have it falling apart. I know 1,000.00 is not much to pay for a fur coat, but it is a lot to pay for a coat I cannot wear because the skins are so old the coat is falling apart.I purchased a brand NEW item

Next time you buy something off of ebay look at the sellers feedback, so if this is going to be a good person to deal with

If the item was listed incorrectly, then contact ebay and they will tell you the steps to go through. You have to prove that the skins were old. Take it to a furrier for a signed appraisal. If they listed it as vintage or used......then no you have no recourse.

I bought a mink coat on ebay last year and yes, it was old, but the furrier made it look new. Well worth the expense.

E-bay is supposed to have fraud protection. If the seller promised this as a brand new item and it is not, (Or was misrepresented in some other way) E-bay might be able to help. Contact them immediately.

Sorry, that's your own problem I'm afraid. There's nothing you can do about it as you purchased the item at your own risk. Try and get it fixed as much as you can, get some professional advice.
May be a lesson is to be learned: not to buy expensive items from Ebay in the future - you can never guarantee its quality.

Sorry and good luck

Did you pay via Paypal?

If so you can issue a claim through paypal. You will have to return the coat but you will get your money back.

Why not then spend the money of a Faux Fur coat, just as nice, and keeps you just as warm!
