i got the IUD in Oct.

I have the Mirena........I got it in August. I have had many days of spotting since getting it, but have not had a real period. If you are talking a normal period flow I would call my Dr.

Do you mean that you have been bleeding every day since October or that your periods are still happening? I don't know which IUD you have but with the Paraguard(which contains copper), it can actually make your periods heavier and can cause you to cramp more. Only if you have the Mirena IUD, which contains hormones, will it possibly diminish your periods. Even then, it might not get rid of them completely. You may have some spotting or a light flow.

If you are concerned it is always a good idea to talk to your gyn about it.

Yeah, you should ask your gyn. But know that IUDs, birth control pills and injections and cause your cycle to end or lighten.

i got an iud, and the longest i bled was for 2 weeks. its been gradually getting less and less each time.
