He is only a reflection of us, or at least the voters of the "red states".
As the President said (or , as you recall, couldn't say),"fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." I think that the American public don't relate to intellectuals in the White House.
Bill was an exception because he had charisma. The current president does give comedians plenty of material to work with.
Com'on, even if you like Bush #2, you have to admit that there are plenty of other political figures out there better suited for the job but lack the political clout and finances.

I wish I could laugh, but every intelligence assessment seems to lead to the deaths of more young men and women in Iraq, so whenever I hear a Bush Intelligence assessment I just get a sick feeling in my stomach.

NO, we do, however, laugh at people that keep bringing stuff like this up while the OP is not able to even attain what Bush has.

Bush doesn't do assessments. He's THE DECIDER. He sits in the throne and waves his hand hither and yon.

if he says something funny. and Americans also laugh when people misspell words, it's even funnier considering yahoo provides a spell checker and some pretentious juveniles don't or can't use it

Yes. But the thing is, just because he's a bad public speaker, it does not mean he's stupid; he could just get nervous, like many people do, and sound like an idiot.
