It's supply and demand. Orlando is a HUGE tourist desintination, with many airlines servicing the area. Many people want to rent cars. Therefore, rental car agencies can charge whatever they like because most people will pay it. (It'll be cheaper in a non-tourist town.)

If you can get the car off airport, I suggest pricing that way - you'll probably save a few bucks.

Ok i live in Orlando Florida.. so i might be able to help you. Prices have gone up becasue gas is so expensive .. and i think insurence on things went up to im not so sure. But yes my family rented a car it was their firast and last time doing it.. i hope this will answer you question.
