Even when they were mobilized, they were so afraid to fight Americans that thousands of well armed, well trained fighters would surrender en masse to three or four Americans. Yet they seem to enjoy planting bombs in their own country to kill their brothers and sisters. They can't even see that if they were to put forth any effort whatsoever that, with the Americans help, they would have one of the most modern and prosperous countries in the world. Yet all they can think about is killing eachother and most don't even know why.

Yes, why DO they like having us over there so much? We went over there the first time, kicked their butts and came home. But that wasn't enough for them. They did everything they could, even bluffing they had WMD, just to get us to come back. It makes no sense. It must be a lack of intellect.

I agree with Biscuit: they don't deserve Democracy. They aren't willing to fight for it; they aren't willing to stand up for it; they won't even be thankful for it. In their case, I can see a need for an Electoral College, since they don't have the ability to make an intelligent decision about their leadership.

The Iraqi people have been through things you could never imagine. I support the war. But Our country has told them to stand up and fight before and we left them alone to be slaughtered by Saddam. This time who can blame them for being apprehensive. They need to see Americans support them and we will not leave them to die again. And the extreme left makes a point of allowing the world to see they want us to leave them to die again. I don't blame them for being afraid .

Yes, that is right. They are scared to fight American and british troops, so they blow up civilians instead. Onetime, we raide a hideout for the insurgents, and a leader wrote in his notebook that the insurgents will lose to the Americans, but they will kepp setting off bombs, and creating havoc, to delay us from leaving, and it will make it look like we're losing, because we're there for so long.

They didn't want to fight for Saddam and I wouldn't either. Most of the violence in Iraq is from foreign insergensts not Iraqis.

For many years these people were not allowed to fight back against anything without fear of death. It is a hard habit to break. Who can they trust ? They still have people threatening them with death if they do not follow the direction of the terrorist.
