Has anyone used bass guitar method cd-rom and books to learn the bass.?

I'm a guitarist,but do know that the method your talking about will work as well as any books.. One suggestion if you've never played before.. Just learn the proper technique and how to hold the bass properly.. Check out this site too.. Mark Stefani has a great site for guitarists and bass players.. Nice guy too!

i prefer using the net...if you want to learn how to play a certain song, just go to the net and search for tabs..
