I'm testing now that site which pays money for just keeping their page open on your screen. It's for $0.45 per hour.I don't know if they will pay or not,so I'm not saying the site, but try to find some sites where you can register with your parent's name and start earning money.

Since most companies require that you be an adult to have a paperroute these days, that options is probably out.

My two suggestions would be.... if you are associated witha church or have some friendly churches locally ask the pastor/priest/elder if there are any older people in the church that need help with house cleaning, errands, odd jobs. They would be happy to pay a young person to do the things they cannot and would benefit from the company once a week.

The second would be babysitting. I know that it is typically girls who babysit. BUT many families would love to have a boy babysitter, especially if they have boys. Girls talk on the phone alot etc and are not necessarily into football, baseball, pokeman, yughio. A nice clean responsible boy is my favorite babysitter for my kids. If he wants to get into babysitting check out the babysitter training at the American Red Cross or from an organization called SAFESITTER.

I dont know about your family, but our rule is to tithe 10%(give to church or charity), save 40% and 60% can be spent on whatever you want. We also have a special pot of money for big one time purchases that the kids can donate to (when we bought the PSP III the kids paid 50% and the adults the other 50%)

Thanks for helping your brother (or atleast asking the questions so he will leave you alone for alittle while).

And while some of the others answers say that 11 is too young to babysit... the American Red Cross and SafeSitter classes are designed beginning at age 11. They are both Nationally Recognized Organizations and receive local, state and federal funds. Maybe 11 is too young to babysit for an 8 or 10 hour work day or until very late at night, but for both of these programs an 11 year old can enroll.

I have a little brother whos 11 to. For money he collects all the change that he can get from my dad, mom, me, my sister, and my older brother. It might take a while depending on how much change he can get. My little brother has made over 60$ doing this in 2 weeks so yeah thats good. But if your brother is not into doing something like that maybe he can do other peoples chores like cleaning or mowing the yard etc...you know whatever works best for him.

Sweetie, your brother can do extra chores around the house.Speak to your mother about possibly a "raise" in allowance if he does those extra chores.Your brother also could help out around the neighborhood.Your parents friends may need some stuff moved, with the holidays just being over and all,and he could help them move them for a small amount of money. He could deliver advertisements for events. He cant expect to get rich over night, but as he continues to help out around the house and the neighborhood he can save, and eventually he will have enough to purchase one of the items he wants. Most, once the money is made sees how hard it is to "save" money that long, especially when receiving it in small portions, that he will want to continue to save instead of blowing it on a game.If even then,he still wants his game then it is his money. As for the knives, that is an unusual hobby for someone who is 11.I dont think i would allow him to collect knives, and even so,i would make him display them in an area where he wont get hurt.Dont allow him to play with them, but collecting them and displaying them in a common area i dont see a problem. If these knives were passed down through the family,i would think that would be something that was acceptable as well.Good luck and have a good day.

Well, if you are 16, you have demonstrated that you have not been attending English class on a regular basis. One run-on sentence with spelling mistakes and bad grammar is sure not a testament to good education in your school.

Your Dad should get you into remedial education and you should concentrate on learning instead of trying to find ways for your brother to earn money to buy games and knives. I am sure your brother is no genius, either, so maybe the both of you could profit from remedial education.

Well, my suggestion would be for him to help some of the elderly neighbors with work around their homes that they are unable to do. There is also mowing lawns..

11 is to young to babysit but he could offer to be a mothers helper.. Check out the YMCA for these kinds of things..

There are paper routes. Put up signs advertising house-cleaning, driveway shoveling, lawn-mowing, etc, etc. Dog-walking? also a good idea. See if any of the local schools or churches need some help.

Paper routes usually accept 11 year olds, delivering flyer's, don't know where you live but shovelling snow, raking leaves, cutting grass, helping people unload groceries into their cars, taking garbage out to the curb the night before garbage pick up for seniors, helping out around the house, extra chores (don't wait to be asked to do them),
