I love chicken and I couldn't resist eating some but I got carried away and ate the whole lot. I want to know what I should do as the wife can be very violent at times. She will go mad when she finds out that there isn't a chicken for our Sunday lunch, HELP! I would like to know what to do.

1. Hide the remains and tell her the dog ate it
2. Go and get a fresh roasted one and make it look like hers
3. Go to the pub and return when I think things have cooled down
4. Own up and be prepared to take the beating
5. Say nothing in the hope that she won't notice that the chicken is missing
6. Suggest your personal solution to this predicament

Give the dog a scrap to chew on, put the remains in his basket and go with your first choice - blame the dog. Tell her you already punished him so he doesn't take YOUR beating.

when you see your wife walking up the drive, throw the remaining chicken on the floor so it looks like the dog ate it, then rush to the sofa and pretend to be asleep, the mrs walks in, goes mental at the dog for eating the sunday dinner, shouts to you, she wont get a reply as your sleeping, so she storms into you all angry ready to moan at you for not hearing the dog eat the dinner, she stands over you looking at how cute you look asleep...hey presto, you got away with that one! ...well until she suggests you taking her to the local pub for dinner

Be a man. Tell her what you did, then go any buy another one.

Presumably, since she's your wife, she knows that you have a love for the taste of chicken, so I doubt this is your first time of doing this. She'll understand, so long as you make it better by buying another chicken, either ready cooked, or you cook it yourself.

Hide the chicken and when she gets in say 'you know what love - you spend too much time in the kitchen, I'm taking you out for sunday lunch'

Take her off to a nice resteraunt / country pub

Not only will it get you out of trouble but you'll probably get lucky too!

You ate a whole roast chicken? What time is it there, it's not even 7am here? Good grief.

I think you should own up and replace it, or cook a new one.

Tell her it fell on the floor and you had to give it to the dog, but it won't be a problem because you are gonna take her out instead.

Failing that get on your knees and be done with it

6. Suggest your personal solution to this predicament.... Invite me over and I will bring another chicken and sneak it to you, then we can all sit down to a nice lunch. What time should I come over? :)
