i try to get on xbox live it connects to the internet but i cant get on to it because it cant find the ip address how can i fix this?

Well the easiest and safest way is to click on the menu buttons on windows
go to All Programs
Accessories
Command Prompt
Then You see the DOS window
Type in cd\ so it reaches your C drive
Then type in ipconfig
and here comes your ip the first line.

I don't know about xbox, but if you have a high speed connection you probably also have a static ip address. Fire up a computer, open a dos box, and type in ipconfig. That will give you your static ip address. If you don't have a computer, call your isp and ask first if you do have a static ip, and then what that ip is.
