i often wonder this, you Americans scoff at us Brits for having a heriditary head of state - where this person has no direct power, but it's a union of power between the elected Government and the Monach.
It seems ironic that George Bush jnr has followed his fathers footsteps, it's not really democracy in action though - it's all to with infuence and power , connections and money.
But it's really scarey that one individual has so much power.
But what is even more scarey we have a Prime Minister that is such a lap-dog of President Bush.

You could probably get better answers if you asked the question looking for an answer, your opinion reflects your true feelings and you grab attention anyway you can get it. I don't think any president in the history of the USA got it right 100% of the time I wouldn't want their job. However if you must know Presidents are elected, the American people decide if they should remain for a second term. I guess that would decide if he has earned the right to be called President for a second term.

People vote for the President. The president has to earn the vote, but not the title.
No president has ever been clean. No member of government is clean. We either put up with it, gripe about it, or we run for office ourselves.
A select few move out of the country where their hateful tirades can be put to better use. You'd make a great Ayatolla. LEave now while you still know everything, don't let us dumb Americans slow your progress.

Bush should also be given an award and a title of International sheriff of the world. He did great things by stopping convicted criminal Saddam, who killed more people each week than the world war 2 killed each week. Blair also is a strong great man.
Lets hope more tyrants are brought to court. Bush/Blair have justice on their side, which is the difference. Against popular belief, the conflict was totally legal. Some of the facts may have mislead but bringing Saddam to court was legal. Unfortunately there are casualties of this conflict. We are trying to move forward. We are trying. I guess people will have their views on what needs to be done now.

Believe it or not, Al Gore won the 2000 elections, but most of Florida was struck out of the polls for voting Gore. Or being Black.
Who governs Florida? Jeb Bush. I think that surname sounds familiar...

to tell you this, but he did earn the title of "President of the United States" by winning the 2000 and 2004 elections. Also he served in the Texas Air National Guard, and there is no proof of desertion. Also your attitude betrays the men and women who VOLUNTEERED to go to war. Anyone who has VOLUNTEERED since 9/11 has know they are going to fight and have been willing to die for their country. They deserve your respect not your insults.

Speaking as a non American; may I say that the majority of you have certainly voted in an inapproprate fool this time, therefore you have only yourselves to blame,as is the case with us British. May I also say that I think that Clinton was far better than this simpleton.

You need to clean up your language and have some respect for the office of president. You are just reflecting upon yourself. He has earned the title and has demonstrated that he is a man of convictions in the war against terror.

hmmm....just say you dont like him or his policies...then you wont open yourself up for all the insults people have thrown back at you...by the people that voted for him and made him president....if all americans went out to the polls on election day..they could change their world for the better...and that's the only way...not a perfect solution..but the only one.
