Friends do it, thier advise was to be sure and not have the grease to hot and dip slowly, not to fast. It is very, very good and moist.

I've never done this! But where my mother works, they did this over the holidays. Well, my mother who just so happens to be allergic to peanuts and peanut oil...had a severe allergic reaction to the peanut oil they used to fry the turkey in. Her throat closed up and she couldn't breathe. Luckily, she had some benadryl on her and it saved her.

Have had it many times and it's delicious - don't know of any mishaps but I can see that the "Cook" must know what they're doing! (Have never tried to do it myself) -- I have enough trouble pulling that bad boy out of the oven alone!

never had deep fried but one year one of our neighbors had us over for easter and they barbecued (in one of them smoker grills) a turkey and it was really good

No, I would never try to deep fry anything, I am not into fried foods, except for chicken. :)
