Hi
Im 20 weeks and going for my scan on Wednesday. Everyone seems to get so excited about this particular scan, bit I'm feeling nervous, not excitement. I can't help but worry a little that it is going to show some deformalities or something horrible. Did anyone else feel like this before their scan?

I think your nervousness is perfectly normal, but that it will change to excitement and relief once you find out if everything is okay.
It sounds like you are a contingency planner and think about all possible scenarios in advance. (I'm like that too and I think it tends to make us al bit more anxious than others) In reality, though, the odds of everything being fine are in your favor so just try to focus on that.

Well I'm not a baby rn or anything special accept I am pregnant now and a mommy of a 2 year old. Everyone gets nevous about this scan because they know there could be something wrong with their child no matter how slim the chances. However, the excitement comes from the fact that at your 20 week scan they tell you if your child is a boy or girl! Congrats

It can be a little unnerving. But that is ok... it just means you have concerns for your child & there is nothing wrong with that. If you had no trepidation, that might be a little more alarming. I felt like that. When I went it was going to tell me if I needed an amnio or not(which I DID NOT want!) The quad test came back fine, the ultrasound was great.... he is now a healthy, happy 4month old. At least with this, if there is a problem, you can meet it head on & know exactly what you need to prepare for. Remember- Knowledge is power.
Good luck!! :) Hope all is well!

I think that's a common fear, especially if it's your first pregnancy or you've had a few miscarriages or you're a mom over 35. Once you see the baby and find out the gender (if you want to) you'll start getting excited about it, it really helps you when you get to actually see the baby moving around.

I was nervous and worried before every appointment. Totally natural. The chances of there being something wrong are pretty rare at this point. Try to keep that in mind.

i will comprehend your concerns..yet your final test tutor a happy , healthful infant so which you incredibly desire to chill out down ,loosen up and enjoy each thing to do with the newborn, even this test. as quickly as I had my infants we did not get test that we'd desire to work out ...i wanted we had all the flaws that are actually available to all mothers . I even have seen the test of my first grandchildren TWINS !! and it is only astonishing to work out them ...i won't be able to wait to fulfill them in man or woman...due in 6 weeks time. stop stressful and only think of of all the helpful issues approximately your infant, and all the relaxing issues that comprise having a sparkling little member interior the kin.

Yeah. I do.
I remember that with my first baby, I was thoroughly excited. With this one, though, I'm scared that something may go seriously wrong. My fears are unjustified, mind you, but I just can't help it.
