At wits end. What happened to the law helping people with out money. My family needs closer. can someone help

I was used and left broke by a mother in law I tried to help. Found out all these years she has been a socialpath. Never knew. Now that she is older it's all appearing in her personallity. What she did to our family was devistating. We have to small daughters who saw all this happen. She told my husband he would never know if she is his real mother. We have document that Doctors say were forged. We believe through these papers, she shot his father and got away with it . after she left she moved in with different people. They started to notice as she became older she would let certain things out. They would call us, say your mother is dangerous we never knew.Next thing you know the are in the obituarues. We have things happening to are family that need to be investigated. Now for some reason we have been scammed out of our home and money we have 5 days to move. We knew a attorney, he can't help check out my mother inlaw or this company who scammed us . Need someone to find his past
