If you wish to stay in Atlanta, I would suggest that you contact the Marriott at Stone Mountain. It is like being in another world. You will be happily surprised. They have a nice restaurant also.

Château Ãlan Winery & Resort, doesn't exactly overlook a river, but located in foothills of North GA....Very very nice ;-)
