Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles have been in love for many, many years before the then Princess Diana.
Even after his marriage to Diana, he still kept in contact with Camilla.
After Diana passed away, Charles married Camilla and live happily ever after.
They should have married each other from the very beginning!!!

Prince Charles and Camilla started their relationship in the 1970's. It stopped, SUPPOSEDLY for the first 4 years of the marriage of Charles and Diana. Between the birth of William and Henry (Harry) it was resumed.
Altogether, they have now been in a relationship almost 30 years. Charles and Diana were neighbors at Sandringham and the Earl (Count's) Spencers family home. So they too have known of each other for some time as family friends.

Diana's dream turned into a nightmare, day after day, the exposure of her private telephone conversation with a male friend, James Gilby, whose shoulder she cried on, as a result of Charles' adulterous relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles, a Brigadier's wife, and a tape recording of Prince Charles with Camilla where Charles' oral canoodings drove her to more and more confusion, and humiliation particularly when the whole episode became public through the news media. Despite her world-wide image of being ' blissfully happy' and thrilled with her new royal life, Princess Diana suffered in silence, both emotionally, as a result of breaking up of her marriage.

Thew truth of the matter is that Charles couldn't marry Camilla 30 years ago because she had a history. In other words, she wasn't a virgin. When Camilla married her ex-Husband, Andrew Parker-Bowles, Prince Charles was out at sea with the royal Navy, but was made their son's Tom's godfather. Camilla's great-grandmother was Charles's great-gradfather's mistress. In fact recently he bought her a necklace that once was given to her g-grandma from his g-grandfather. It is true that their affair continued throughout both of their marriages.
One thing I wish would stop happening is the rumor that Charles had anything to do with Diana's death, Besides it being completely untrue, it is just heinous to say that. Despite whatever happened between them in their marriage, Charles would never had done anything like that to the mother of his sons,
Charles know Camilla first, though by her family being aristocratic, Diana was around the royals alot. In fact by them being so close in age, Diana, and princes Andrew and Edward used to play together when the royals would go to their country house, Sandringham. Sandringham is not far from the Spencer ancestorial home, Althrope.
It was actually the Queen Mum {Charles's grandmother} and Diana's maternal grandmother , Lady Fermoy who set the marriage ball rolling.

Charles was really close to Camilla first but she wasn't a very suitable wife coz she's no virgin, yadda, yadda, yadda, so Charles had to marry Diana but still continued having an affair with Camilla. I think Prince Charles treated Diana civilly, not too lovey-dovey considering that their marriage was political.

Prince Charles new Camilla well before he knew Diana. He wanted to marry her a long time ago too, but she wasn't suitable, meaning she had no royal lineage. Then she married someone and that really put a damper on it. So he ended up with Diana. Though he still carried on an affair with Camilla.

Charles and Camilla have known each other for over 30 years. I think that he tried to make the marriage work but it just wasn't to be. Sadly all three of them went thru hell during the marriage and the aftermath has to have been brutal on Camilla.
