Approach math the same way you approach sports. In sports while you are learning new plays you also work on the basics. Do the same with math. While you learn how to solve different types of problems do not forget to practice your basics (review what you should already have learned). Practice, practice, practice. I bet if you are on a sports team you practice that on your own besides during the team practice sessions. Do the same with math. In sports you are encouraged to stay away from steroids which may seem to help you in the short run, but can be very harmful in the long run. The same thing is true with shortcuts in math. Stay away from them until you understand how to solve the problem the correct way. This way you will understand why the shortcut works and know when the shortcut can be used safely.
And do not forget to selebrate your victories!
It is a shame that there is no easy way to learn math. It is hard work and takes time. But then, anything in life worth having is that way. So, if you really want to get better, make it a priority in your life.

Math takes fairly some time and practice. And it is cumulative. commence from the initiating, as an occasion algebra, you won't be able to be good in calculus, in case you suck at pre-calc. strengthen your qualifications with the aid of the years and do all the assigned homeworks and then greater. i became the worst in math, now i'm way previous calculus and doing noticeably good. wait and notice, it gets relaxing after pre-calc.

Practice, practice, practice. Math is like sports. David B is right, Sylvan and other training centers can help you -- we really can't. Tell your parents you're having difficulty.

Always ask the teacher when you have a question in the first place. Learn from you mistakes and just ask the teacher. No question is a stupid question b/c i bet someone else has it to.
