What could or would be done by the democrats to change our position in the world? On 9/11, we had a chance to be the most popular nation in the world. We were offered help from our allies and people who were once enemies. We blew our chance to be popular, and are now hated by the majority of countries. Would Nancy do something to change this, or should I say, her party?

I am using popular as a general term. We would have many more allies and stronger ties with those who had already supported us. Now we are disliked even by our "inner circle".

First let me say that I am neither a conservative nor a liberal. I vote my conscious, which is unbearably loud as it should be in all of us. Now then...
If Bush and Cheney died and a blind, deaf, and dumb mongoose became President we would benefit more than we are now in the scope of world opinion.
Hypothetically, if some group were to simultaneously erase BOTH of these criminals from existence, and Mrs. Pelosi were to become President, the world and a large portion of the United States itself would be more elated than aghast. Things would almost immediately start to turn around for us.
Why would I insinuate such extreme notions? I say this not out of malice, but out of love and respect for the rest of this wonderful country and the world. This is arguably the most corrupt administration in U.S. history. The crimes against humanity that it has carried out in the name of freedom and liberation are atrotious and many! If any other government in world history were to act, do, and say the way this one has over the last six years, they would be bombed back into the stoneage! The young men and women who have given their lives under false pretenses just to ultimately line the pockets of a corrupt administration and it's allies are spinning in their graves!
The parties responsible for Bush and Cheney's hypothetical death would be viewed as heroes in many circles. Oh sure, outwordly it would be said how such an event was tragic and reprehensible. We here in the United States would have to charge, convict, and imprison or execute those responsible, but inwardly people would be breathing a giant sigh of relief all across the globe. It sounds harsh I know, and it's really too bad someone like myself is put in the position to feel this to be true about a President and Vice-President of this extraordinary country. If the last two Presidents that were impeached were done so on the grounds of breaking and entering, and lying about an affair respectively, then this administartion should be drug out into the street and shot.
Yes, we would benefit a great deal if this administration were to just disappear before 2008, and President Pelosi were to take the reigns. We would be able to capatalize once again, no matter how hollow, on the sympathy of the world.

While she used powerful words in accepting the Speaker’s gavel that wrapped herself in the flag of God-fearing American patriotism, her deeds of the past speak far louder. Pelosi is pro-homosexual marriage, pro-abortion, even pro-partial birth abortion. She has voted against tax cuts, against the Patriot Act, against allowing the words “under God” to remain in the pledge of allegiance, and against allowing public displays of the Ten Commandments. She has voted against stopping illegal immigration. And Pelosi has worked to undermine traditional marriage, even by voting against the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996.
Pelosi closed her acceptance speech with a phrase associated with the Communitarian Network when she said, “Let us all stand together to move our country forward, seeking common ground for the common good.” The Communitarian Network is a self-described “coalition of individuals and organizations who have come together to shore up the social, moral and political environment…a nonpartisan, nonsectarian, transnational association."
Communitarian doctrine puts government above individual rights by developing democratic consensus often using moral issues.

nicely, except for beating Hillary to the punch as first lady American president, she might want to fix FISA, end the torture, initiate the drawdown procedure in Iraq, override Bush's veto of SCHIP, and set the degree for Hillary's innauguration. yet Bush and Cheney do not ought to die for those good issues to take position. they could merely do the honorable component and renounce. by ways, Alpha male, it wasn't unlawful even as Newt did it for the period of Clinton's admin, and this is not unlawful now. And Laura wore a similar head wrap even as she visited the middle east, a lifeless ringer for Jackie O wore it even as she change into first woman. including: Alpha, i did not say that you suggested it change into unlawful. I suggested this is not unlawful. a lifeless ringer for it wasn't unlawful even as Newt did it and made statements in conflict with our then president's overseas coverage. And even as you may want to even see the suitable-wrap as an illustration of subservience, others see it as an illustration of cultural deference. this is noted as international relatives for a reason.

Yes. We might actually move forward instead of repeating the mistakes in Iraq, over and over with New Plans Forward (extend military tours, over and over).
