I married a Conservative, I'm a Liberal, we been happily married for 23 years.

If two people can intelligently debate the issues, and accept the other's opinions there isn't a problem.

If they cannot do this then it's a waste of time. Both should find someone else.

In my opinion, I don't think so, because your politics are a result of your value system, and I cannot believe people with 2 very different value systems can be compatible in the long run. Of course, there are exceptions.

most definetly its not about what you are its about how yall feel about each other no matter who stands in the way you cant give for love. so go ahead and get married you will realize it it was worth it when the honeymoon comes.
