I doubt you have a problem with an overactive thyroid gland becaue if you did you would be very thin. Overactive means the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone resulting in weight loss. An underactive thyroid gland causes weight gain, but rarely over 80 pounds.

i wonder how many Jews in the concentration camps had thyroid problems. if any of them did have a thyroid problem, i don't recall seeing a lot of overweight Jews on the history channel in those camps. lack of food, lack of calories and not exercising is some of the main reasons those Jews were so skinny. i'll bet you don't go to the gym, you don't run or power walk, you take the escalator instead of the steps, you eat like a horse and you lie around and watch tv all day. Then you get on here and cry about the fact that your fat and everyone picks on you. tough. do something about it then. i do not feel sorry for you. i am 44 years old, i run at least 2 miles a day, can bench press 335lbs and watch what i eat. I am proud of the way that i look in my body shirts. But i have to work at it constantly and so can you. oh, if you want to be left alone, don't come on here. just stay on your couch and watch tv and eat you potato chips. have a nice day.

If you are only eating 2000 to 2500 calories a day and you still gain, then it could be some type of problem - one that can be treated. So it is your choice on what to do next. If you are OK with your weight, then stay that way and live your life the way you want. If not, well then, do something about it.

Update: Just read your blog (9 hours later) - it is NOT a gland problem.

if it is a thyroid problem you need to see your doctor, they will help you straight away. my mother in law had thyroid problems on medication now and she feels and looks 100% better. if its not why not join a slimming club, your confidence would rise aswell. as for all the obnoxious people on here. they are just low lives, with nothing else to do. dont even give them a second thought. they arent worth it!

Try to ignore them mate. There is a woman who lives in town where I live and I am sure that she has a gland problem or something and I feel sorrry for her and everyone in the world who have a similar problem. We are all individuals and it is personality that makes you special not size.

next u'll b telling us it's because the medical profession have given u steroids.
More excuses include.................
Hormone Problems, Thyroid Problems, It's Hereditary, Big Boned, Slow Metabolism etc etc.........

Why can't they face up 2 the FACT they're FAT, go on a Diet
calorie limits 4 an adult male is no more than 2500 a day.
female 2000 limit a day.

what's so hard 2 understand?
U R WOT U EAT.
eat 2 much and U WILL GET FAT.
fat is not attractive, it will shorten life/cause medical problems that the NHS here in the UK, can not really afford 2 cover the cost of a simple problem.
A Lack of Willpower.

Right can i just say before I start, if you dont want people to pick on you why oh why oh why wou;d you use a picture of yourself as your avatar?? And if it really is a gland problem then your doctor should have prescribed something to help you. Exercise and you'll be OK (mind you i hate exercise)

People mock you because they have a lack of weight problem in the brain department - rise above it. Sad to say, but you will always have to put up with crap from someone or other.

excuses, excuses, excuses you are making a choice to be obiece, every time you over eat, take no exercise, sit on the couch
and do nothing about it. Another year gone and you did nothing about it. Try driving by a fast food place, walk two miles instead, you seem to have a good gentle hart, so use it on yourself, cut your self some slack, and get healthy.

If that's a photo of you...... I'd be very surprised.

If I was that fat, I'd put a picture of a more normal person in...... that way I would not leave myself open to the type of abuse you are getting!

Your other Q about bathing once a week and smelling a bit also left you open to abuse!

I think you like it because you love to hear people taking the mick ( if that floats your boat ....enjoy)

Remember ......that even the slightest movement makes a fat person sweat!
