I think it lost it lustre a ages ago, I don't see how people can still think it's funny.

I think the show started going downhill after about the sixth season (with a few good episodes still turning up once in a while). I do continue to enjoy the Treehouse of Horror episodes each year, and I think it's fun that Marge's sister turned out to be a lesbian. Still, I miss the old Simpsons writing style.
I'm hoping that the movie will be good though. I'll definitely still go see it in the theater.

I think the Simpson's has lost it's luster to be honest. The past 2-3 seasons have felt forced and kind of dull. I use to tune into the Simpson's all the time but now I find myself always changing the channel. Simpson's had a great run but they should hang it up on a positive slope.
