HAHAHA! She most definitely DOES need friends! Ofcourse you don't HAVE TO buy her friends, but any little girl of Barbie-playing age will definitely tell you that it's no fun to have 7 Barbies, all looking the same with no variation. And, for the more 'grown-up' Barbie fans (collectors) it surely must be a challenge to get their hands on all the different looking dolls. Heck, even Oprah received a Barbie version of herself from Mattel. And hey, Oprah is EVERYBODY'S friend. =)

Although,Barbie is an evil bi*** so we shouldn't have to buy her friends.She doesn't deserve them.And I agree with Master Raf... because Bratz are the new barbie,just with bigger and sturdier heads(Barbies heads are so easy to pull off!!!!I used to pull them offwhen i was a little girl!!!)

probably because kids have this URGE to have a doll that looks like them. so like a little girl with brown hair likes barbie, but she also wants a doll with brown hair so she gets like tons of those.
