My friends dad has just returned from a trip to the Congo, he swore on his daughters life that he never saw one person drinking Um Bongo, were we all mislead by the monkey?

I agree - we were told Ra-Ra skirts and frilly shirts were fashionable and they were fairly gross! When I look back on pictures now, I thought I looked the business but I looked a nob!
Also, I never met anyone called Rio who danced on the sand or anywhere else for that matter.........

Oh the 80's................

Everyone knows Um Bongo went out of fashion in the early 90's down there. The big thing at the moment is Banana Tango.

LOL, haha. At first I didn't get why everyone was laughing, but after about 5 minutes I finally understood! Gosh, I'm slow. I never liked Um Bongo, anyway...
