Games will be against either Australia, or later, against NZ?

I think their chances of winning a ODI is better against NZ than Australia. I have always reckoned NZ and England in the same category and league.

Probably, as there's a lot more chance involved in ODIs and all it needs is for Pietersen or Flintoff to play a good innings and the bowling to be halfway decent, but I'd be very surprised if we make the finals ... Australia are #1 in the world and NZ are a decent ODI outfit

Its hard to see how England could win a match in the Comm Bank Series. They're form in ODI cricket has been shocking lately, and when you consider they had more chance of winning a test and couldnt do it, you have to worry.

England going home without a single victory from this tour is quite a real possibility.

I wish they win at least 1 or 2 matches but they have to work very hard for victory as neither the Aussies or the Kiwis are going to be easy to beat. Infact the 5-0 drubbing will spur them at least to do better against either of their opponents.

Maybe just the one match - on the day that the NZ or the Australian team goes down with beri-beri, or some such devastating disease!

By the way, have you noticed that England's recent dreadful cricketing performance seemed to be inversely proportional to the number of tears shed and the tattoos, earrings and weird haircoloring/styles sported by our players? [David Beckham's performance definitely deteriorated during the 2006 World Cup following that set of 'wings' appearing on the back of his neck.] I can just see the great English cricketers of the past - Larwood, Compton, Hutton, M Smith, the Bedser twins, Truman, et al - worrying about their psuedo 'pop star' appearance at the expense of honing their cricketing skills. England's cricketers (and footballers) seem to have lost the rough, determined and gritty edge that makes good players into world beaters.

Yes they will. I have faith in this England squad and anyone who calls themself a cricket fan but badmouths the team for not winning matches or series every now and again is not a true cricket fan but just a glory supporter.

It would be nice to see them bounce back and win the VB series after an Ashes humiliation, however i really doubt that england will win a match.

we are or were a very good test side however we are absolutely useless in the one day game so if we lose 5-0 to the Aussies in the tests i don't see us beating them in any of the one dayers.we might beat new zealand and i hope we do because we have them in our world cup group and it would be good to get a psychological advantage

I heard they pulled out of the series to practise for the next ashes hahahahaha they might need longer than that to get some form back ... up the aussies!!

No chance..we have pretensions to being reasonably ok in real cricket, but we never really bother too much with the one day stuff.
