by Jo Dee Messina...BRING ON THE RAIN

(duet with tim mcgraw)
(billy montana/helen darling)

Another day has almost come and gone
Can’t imagine what else could wrong
Sometimes I’d like to hide away somewhere and lock the door
A single battle lost but not the war (’cause)

Tomorrow’s another day
And I’m thirsty anyway
So bring on the rain

It’s almost like the hard times circle ’round
A couple drops and they all start coming down
Yeah, I might feel defeated,
I might hang my head
I might be barely breathing - but I’m not dead

Tomorrow’s another day
And I’m thirsty anyway
So bring on the rain

I’m not gonna let it get me down
I’m not gonna cry
And I’m not gonna lose any sleep tonight

I consider Bye Bye Love by the Everyly Brothers to be a country song. It was incredibly done by Ray Charles on his Modern Sounds in Country album and it was given a big band feel. Absolutely awesome version.

I'll have to agree with Kat on this one: anything Waylon has done blows all other country singers away. The fact that she named "Loving Her Was Easier" blows me away. "She ain't ashamed to be a woman, or afraid to be a friend..." The live version gives me goosebumps. Waylon F*&%@*! Jennings Rules! That said, I'd say "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way" tops it for me. "Ain't Livin' Long Like This" comes in for a close second. It's a shame he's gone...

Hank Jr. and his Daddy Hank Sr. are two of my favorites. Glen Campbell Wichita Lineman and Patsy Cline Crazy are good too.

Lovin' her was easier (than anything I've ever done before) By Waylon Jennings, the sexiest country singer who ever lived.
