Ok dude i think what u meant is that ur id was hacked & ur afraid that this person already knows ur ip address then he might do it again.
Fact-->if he knows ur ip then he can hack ur mail again or ur computer
But he cannot do it coz the ip address that u see is diff from what the server shows 2 other comp. due 2 the proxies.
U must b having a static address so if the guy(hacker) is good he can do it again if ur ISP proxy is transparent.
SOL. since one can only hack ur comp by knowing ur ip.and the best place for finding ip is yahoo chat.ppl hack ur comp by sending u messgs on chat & if u reply then BINGO!!! ur gone.
SO the best & least used sol is 2 use anonymous proxies....they will hide ur ip address from everyone and will allow u 2 surf, chat safely....
If u want 2 know more about this u can mssg me!!!!

If you are having static IP address then you can change it from your ISP(Internet service provider). This will be the case if you are accessing the net through for eg: leased line.
But if you are having dial-up connection, then the IP address is automatically allocated each time you connect to the net, using DHCP (dymanic host configuration protocol). And each time this dynamic address is different(most probably). And you cant this IP address anyway.
And by the way IP means Internet Protocol and not Internet Provider, as said by one dude..

I'm not sure what the problem is. You can login to Yahoo with SSL. The only real option to "change" your IP address is to get a new ISP. You can also connect through a proxy like Torpark (http://www.torrify.com) to hide your IP, but if you're connecting without encryption and allowing your passwords to be sniffed, that's probably not going to help you.

ip means internet provider and doesnt have anything to do with your yahoo account. to change your ip all you have to do is call them and tell them you no longer want their service and find a new one. once you do that then you can get a new account and if you want to use yahoo without this person finding you then just use an identity that the person would not know. example. your name is joe smith and you had an account with yahoo and this person hacked your account. so once you change you ip and sign up for another account with yahoo dont use joe smith. use something like i have. atomictomato

It's called security and it's perfectly legal to hide or change your network or computer IP number.

Usually,if you unplug your modem from the outlet for about 15-20 mins,it will automatically change your ip address, without screwing up any modem configurations.

see you can change your IP and there are programs available to spoof down a person behind you watching your activities. but it is not recommanded as it is against your ISP rules.
so contact your ISP regarding the problem or change your ISP provider and your IP is changed.
