Big Party, fireworks i think Mayan calendars are confusing

I actually have a framed Mayan writing of the last day in time according to the Mayan calendar. Dec. 22, 2012. As of now we are seeing in the beginning of the New Age of Aquarius many huge changes in the world. This is just a prelude. The world as we know it is about to shift completely. There are many theories about exactly how and who it will affect and in what ways.... the truth is it is up to US as Humans to make the shift a positive one. Respect Nature, Love your enemy, Create Peace, make an effort to clean the environment. Use your god given talents to make the world a better place. It may be the end of the world as we know it to be, or the beginning of the world as it is intended to be. If we learn from the lessons given in the Piscean age we can move forward and upward in a positive direction. If not, then what? I do not intend to find out. do you? Do something every day for good- and we will see what does occur. Some people think our world will be destroyed others think nothing will ever change.... bur changes are occurring now already- like it or not. Right now it could go either way. Be a catalyst for the greater and smaller good!- it is UP TO US!!!!!! What we do now as the Human Race will determine the outcome. There is no dress rehearsal. Positive action moves more than mountains.

Calendars don't end. Time doesn't end. It's a misunderstanding that the Mayan calendar is ending in 2012. The 12th Baktun is ending.

The world will end. But to Pragmatic, the Mayans did not disappear because of their own priest, they were murdered and victims of Spanish Catholic genocide ( The Conquistadors?) The Catholics saw the Mayan LOGIC systems ,cosmology, pyramid building skills. mathematics systems etc etc, which was on par with the ancient egyptians and greeks and had to destroy every last remain bit of history of these people because it proves a universal intelligence that precedes and greatly conflicts with Catholic dogma and ontology. I could go on ad fin um but its yahoo answers and not a forum.

According to the History channel artifacts seem to indicate the Mayans believe mans own creations will rise up to destroy man.
I believe this indicates a nuclear war.

Some believe that it means the end of the world.

I think it will be just another day....the calendar starts up again a day later I think....

It probably just symbolizes the end of a lunar cycle or something to that effect.

That is a good question. Some people ascribe to the theory that the world will end. While others say that aliens will come to earth.
It is supposedly going to end in 2012. I guess we shall have to wait and see.

I also remembering watching something on the history channel about this. In this interpretation, they believed that the animals would turn on humans. Wiping the earth of human civilization. Taking it back to natural law.
