Looking to work evening and weekends initially (airport runs/weddings etc...) in order to continue my current day job until business picks up....just looking for general advice at this point

What about getting a freephone number? Gives potential customers the impression that you're bigger and more established than you are. They're only a couple of quid a month aswell. Email me if you want more information on this.

Go to http://www.score.org/ to find the nearest SCORE chapter. Contact them to arrange for a free one on one meeting with a SCORE counselor about starting up a chauffeur business.

SCORE is a nonprofit organization. They provide a public service by offering small business advice and training. .

SCORE's 10,500 volunteers have more than 600 business skills. Volunteers share their wisdom and lessons learned in business. The volunteers are working/retired business owners, executives and corporate leaders.

depends on what kind of chauffeur your going to be, are you gonna be one that has a limo or just a general car. if its a limo then a suit and cap is the way forward. always open the door and close it and be poilte. if its a general taxi then just be polite. put your cards up in pubs and places as well so people know you are available

You have to get a chauffeur's license. You will have to get a Public Utility License. You will have to get a limousine. You will have to find some customers. Advertising can get expensive.
You will have to have some back-ups. If someone calls and you are busy, they won't call back.
