Age:16
Weight: 113lbs
Body fat: 24%
Height: 5ft 4.5inches

I've been lifting weights for about 3 1/2 months now.

I don't know why it doesn't say it on the page but the box states that the icecream bar has like 0.5 grams for the good fats(each of them have 0.5)

I'm sort of a weakling....
Bench Press: 40lbs 10 times
Squats: 45lbs 10times
Dumb bell lateral pulls: 10lb each arm 10 times
D.B. Frontal : 15lb each arm 10times

Leg Press: 150lbs 50times (Strong on legs I guess but otherwise i'm weak.)

lifting weights really won't burn fat that well, for women it simply tones or increases muscle. Fat loss comes when your heart rate is increased for a certain amount of time. Ina ddition to what you have been doing try 40 minutes on a bike machine at a decently tiring level every day. It should help in burning fat.

You might need more protein with each meal. Check out a good woman's fitness magazine. Don't see a lot of complex carbs.. Try broccoli, green leafy veggies. Other healthy snacks.. handful of almonds, drink some notfat milk(8 oz.) with dinner. Yogurt is good, but check out the dannon.. light.. not as many carbs from sugars or fats. You could eat turkey or tuna for lunch. Whole grain bread, not white bread. Try this too. Body for Life.com
And regarding the weight training. try to lift progressively more weight or change your program.. Get some help from a trainer if your a beginner. If your trying to lose weight.. Mix in some form of cardio. exercise.. Walking, jogging etc.. Do the cardio every other day, about 30 min.

If you are looking to lose weight as your primary goal, that your exercise regime is not quite right. You need to mix in more aerobic component. All the resistance training that you are doing right now with the weights will tone your muscle and increase your strength but will not have much effect on your body fat content.
Aerobic exercises can incl jogging, aerobics, pump classes, spinning etc.

you should take up running. dont run to far the first time just try a half mile first. then step up from there. dont give up the weights. work half miles and step up a little more every week next thing you know youre doing 2 miles. you get addicted to runners high. buy some really good shoes so you dont get shin splints

you're eating very healthy i believe--- dunno if it has to do with your calorie intake--- maybe it's a little high, but i wouldn't think. You might want to check it out--- go to www.calorieking.com

another thing could be that you are not eating enough--- and your body is storing the additional fat still because it thinks that it is hungre.

Anyhow, check the site--- it's pretty good.

Don't give up--- I bet that in couple years if you keep it up you will notice something ;)

i am certainly no expert but are you doijg cardio as well? you need to do cardio to burn fat, which along with wight training will help to sculpt your physic. also...carrots are high in sugar and carbs so you might want to try celery or cucumbers. good luck

NO WONDER THAT YOU DO NOT GET RESULTS. THE EXCERCISES YOU ARE DOING NEED NOT BURN FAT AT WAIST LINE. FOR WEIGHT REDUCTION YOU NEED TO EXCERCISE THE WAIST AREA COMPRISING OF DIAPGRAM AND THE TRUNK BELOW. THE FAT AT WAIST LINE IS MOST DIFFICULT TO DISLODGE AND YOUR EXCERCISES WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO THAT. SINCE YOU EXCERCISE FOR ONE HOUR, YOU MAY AS WELL DO BRISK WALK FOR ONE HOUR WHICH WILL CERTAINLY BE VERY EFFECTIVE. IN MY OPINION, YOU AT YOUR AGE APPEAR TO BE WORRYING TOO MUCH ABOUT YOU DIET. I SUGGEST THAT YOU JUNK THE JUNKY FOOD SUCH AS ICECREAM, HAMBURGERS, PIZZAS, FRIED CHICKEN, POTATO CHIPS TO THE EXTENT YOU CAN.

you wont loose weight by weight lifting. youll loose some initial weight but put it all back on with muscle. try adding some cardio workouts to your routine to burn fat and give your body some rest between weight lifting workouts for better results. your muscles need time to grow and rejuvinate.

you don't have much weight to lose, so you're going to feel the difference more than see the difference. see how many pushups you can do. as you build your upper body strength, you'll be able to do more. that's what i mean by feel the difference. your body may look the same, but it'll be stronger.
