Making new and effective drugs ( ie. using recombination technology cloning the gene for human insulin in the DNA of a cow. so the milk of that cow contains human insulin ==> there's no need for diabetes to inject insulin , they just have to drink the milk)

With studying the DNA of each person they will predict what genetic diseases an individual is prone to or will be prone to in a specific stage of life.
This is especially important when considering the next generation, with preventing certain matings between certain individuals they can prevent many possible genetic disorders in the offspring.
the result will be :next generations will contain less alleles for certain diseases .
