♥ I don't see anything wrong with it as long as they're just doing it to get help and advice, which is what they're seeking. With the 'sleeping with h*****s thing', I agree with you on that. But, the 'abusive relationships' and 'children committing suicide', I believe that they should tell their problem to seek help.
Sometimes, people just need opinions from different people, and that's why I hate when I see people not taking questions seriously. They never know what that person's going through, yet they joke about the question. Not cool. Anyways, I believe that some questions are one big joke. However, some people really do face these problems.
But, all in all, I agree somewhat with you because some people dig in too deep, but just telling people about what's going on in your life and that you need help is okay. ♥

SOME questions urgently need answers and people are too embarrassed/scared to ask them but here they're anonymous.
If somebody is in an abusive relationship don't you think it's good they ask advice rather than just doing nothing because they're nervous the abuser will find out and their situation will only get worse?
Can you not see the advantages?
That being said not ALL the questions posted here are being asked seriously. Obviously. Although the examples you've given are not prime examples of that.

maybe to us but some people have no one to talk to and it helps to ask the question just to know what others think because you don't really know that person do you so why would it bother him or her if she ask the question here it can only help them it is our responsibility not to be judgemental on them but rather help the one in need that why some time the answers that comes on here is so sad I mean this is not a comedy show only if the question is s````y then you answer accordingly but all of us just give a stupid answer to get the two points that is what I don't understand I mean I am guilty also but I think this site is to help others not make a joke of them.sorry but that is the way I feel about it and I am ashamed to say that I do give simple answers also.

I do agree, but some people have nobody to trust, or need to share and get advise/s (to choose from). Some questions are very stupid, but some are good.
When I posted my only question, I got very comforting answers, and I felt people do care. That the world is still a nice place to live in with many nice people out there.

This Yahoo website is a means of communication for all sorts of people from the looney to the real desperate !!! Who are we to know if these people really do experience scary events and situations in their lives right now ?? Today, the world is so ever changing and people are ever so confused with no-one to turn to!!!!. We must admit that there are many lonely and desperate people who do not want; even their friends, to know their deep dark secrets. So to pose a question in the net will not reveal their true identity but yet get a quick, reasonable response to their answers.!!!Some times in life, we need some quick answers to jolt us out of whatever we are doing without understanding why we are doing it in the very first place !!! Do you understand what I am trying to say?? People post personal questions because they need help--- but do not want others to know. Maybe it is too embarassing, too shameful, too life threatening to speak out to close ones, and a host of other reasons. There are people too, who pretend they are in emergency situations and deceived others by asking personal questions in this Yahoo website. So, one never knows who is genuine or who is faking !! But no matter what it is-- you might meet a real case of a person really NEED HELP !! IT IS LIKE A VOICE IN THE WILDERNESS. So guys out there, please do reply and help to answer questions. If it is a fake question by a faker--never mind !! At least, he got a real thrill to read his answer given by someone--No harm done !!! But if it turns out to be a real, genuine person REALLY SEEKING HELP--Thanks to you for being there for him or her to help out a real crisis !!!

No I don't. If your going to ask really personal questions that can be answered by people in general , this is the place to do it. There is alot more anonymity here, than there is in the "real" world. Besides that, this place would be alot less fun if they didn't ask really personal questions. Lighten up.

Perhaps they want some serious personal answers from people who don't know and can't judge them too harshly. Some of these things you can't ask real people that you know face to face. That's the beauty of Yahoo! Answers. Just reply to the ones you want to and leave the others alone. No harm, no foul.

I wouldn't do it, but I think the annonymity is a lure...and sometimes a help. It's easier to make an admission or ask for advice to a bunch of strangers than to people you think might make fun of you, get angry with you, hurt you, not understand you. It's better to ask someone than let a problem eat away at you.

Yes they are. Don't think all the questions are for real and serious. There are alot of people out here with warped thoughts (including myself at times) who have alot of time on they're hands.
