Does it really matter now what colour the curtains are, I mean I would prefer a change as obviously red,blue,yellow is exactly the same give or take a few p on the pound.
Politics in the UK like the rest of the western world is now more or less solely about how to keep wealth vis each other and especially vis developing challengers. The elite have the wealth which they graciously share with their supporters managers etc but the institutions that make up society and really matter like NHS etc carry on degrading.
So does it matter what colour the curtains are or what animal craps in the white house?

Yes governments focus on getting us more money. But my view is that money isn't everything. Money doesn't get you happiness. So maybe they need to focus on what we really need. I don't care about the curtain colours.

true but you have lmissed the point. Giving the tax paying public these sort of inane and stupid details make the government more "human" and "personal" and makes us think that our government is populated by real people who have families and animals, etc. rather than by power-crazed dictators.
It's all to do with "Spin", public relations people not telling us the truth about what is going or or sanitising it so we don't understand. So we get a load of rubbish about the colour of the curtains and all that, and apparently we can sleep well in our beds thinking that Prime Minister Blair is a nice cuddly family man with a warm loving family ....!
It's all to do with not telling us the TRUTH!

It is not the colour of the curtains ,that make a good or bad government !
If we are not satisfied with the way the party in government leads us .
When the time comes to vote;
.we ,the people,
will chuck them out

I think we should worry about what goes on in Tony's tiny mind, than what goes on in the windows of No 10. It'll be "curtains" for him soon, if he doesn't start running the country properly.
