You'd be better off buying British Pounds......... lot more stable, more well known, and increasing in value against the dollar.

I too invested in 500,000 dinar. I bought them on my first tour in Iraq. I am seriously hoping that they mature quickly. If Kuwait can be 3 to 1 on the dollar, then when Iraq grows up and stops fighing each other and builds an economy and monopolizes the oil market, then I think the dinar will prosper. I think I am more curious on how much the Saddam dinar are selling for now, especially now that he ceases to be.

I don't think you should risk!

Still most business in Iraq today deals with USD! i know because i work with Iraq a lot of times!

today the value of the dollar is between 1700-1500,
as you see its not stable and you will be dealing with giant numbers, with now value! you should wait for another 2 or 3 years then post that same question! and you can buy it from central banks! or if you go to Iraq you can get the money!

It would be too much of a gamble, they don't even have the government established. Still too many risks concerning a possible revolution and government overthrow. If the iraqi government gets strong, then maybe, you'd make some money. If the government collapses your more than likely to lose your investment.

Too much instability in Iraq for the forseeable future. You'd be better off buying Euros.

I wouldnt touch em way too many different variables that mean theres really no way to even evaulate the investment. No beta to compare etc.

While you may luck out, its doubtful, go by pumpkin futures instead and sell BEFORE all hallows eve

1) No
2) What makes you think Irak will still be there in 3 years?
3) If Irak disappears then you would lose it all.

Have you seen your Atlas lately?
